Our classes, teacher training, and resources are all intentionally designed to meet the needs of kids—body, mind, and heart. We don’t just sprinkle in a little yoga—we specialize in it.

Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I'm Jordan — the founder of Root & Roar Yoga, a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, certified kids yoga instructor, and soon-to-be 500-hour certified yoga teacher. I specialize in yoga, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning for children and teens.
You’ll often find me at the library or park with my own little one—an adventurous, joy-filled boy who inspires everything I create. He’s the heart behind this work, and the reason I believe so deeply in helping kids feel calm, confident, and truly seen.

I created Root & Roar Yoga because I believe every child deserves:

Over the past year, I’ve immersed myself in yoga philosophy, child development, trauma-informed teaching, and neuroscience-based SEL practices. Every class I teach blends movement, breath, and emotional awareness—designed not just to stretch bodies, but to support hearts and nervous systems too.
Whether I’m leading a calm bedtime sequence online, guiding a giggling group through animal poses in a classroom, or designing trauma-sensitive practices for schools and wellness programs, my focus remains the same:
